Russia Formally Warns US to Stop Arming Ukraine

Russia sent a formal diplomatic note to the US this week calling on Washington and NATO to stop arming Ukraine. The note, which was obtained by The Washington Post, said the Western campaign to pour weapons into Ukraine was “adding fuel” to the conflict and could lead to “unpredictable consequences.”
The Russian note was sent to the State Department by the Russian Embassy in Washington. It said the US and its NATO allies were ignoring “rigorous principles” on the transfer of weapons into the conflict zone. Said the Western powers are oblivious to “the threat of high-precision weapons falling into the hands of radical nationalists, extremists and bandit forces in Ukraine.”

Following the numerous sanctions which were imposed on Russia. The Ruble had fallen tremendously against the US dollar, to get out of such a situation it had announced that it would buy gold at a fixed price of 5,000 rubles a gram until June 30.
Since that announcement, the ruble has strengthened sharply against the dollar for over one month. Five thousand rubles was worth around $52 on March 25 and around $63 on Thursday.

Dozens injured in fresh raid by Israeli forces on al-Aqsa Mosque

Local sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Israeli troops entered in force before dawn on Friday, as thousands of worshipers gathered at the mosque for early morning prayers.
The sources added that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades as worshipers barricaded themselves inside the mosque amid what appeared to be clouds of tear gas.

On April 26th, the Russian cruise missile hit a railway bridge over the Dniester River in the village of Zatoka in the Odessa region.
As a result of the strike, the railway track was damaged.

Washington’s “Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act” is an expensive credit scheme and by accepting it, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is pushing the country into a debt trap, Russian State Duma (the lower house of parliament) Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin wrote on Telegram, on Friday.
“The lend-lease program is a supplier credit model, and not a cheap one at that because the future generations of Ukrainian citizens will have to pay for all the ammunition, equipment and food that the US will provide. Zelensky is pushing the country into a debt trap,” he emphasized.
According to Volodin, Washington’s reasons are clear because “the lend-lease program will enable US military corporations to rake in enormous profits.”
