It’s certainly interesting timing in terms of pulling out the the human rights card, given that throughout last week the admin’s China criticisms seemed exclusively focused on its “fence-sitting” over Ukraine.

While the Ukrainian military took up position on the second and third floors, they came under fire by a tank. “After that their commanders had the gall to come and ask, who’s here? …They were checking if they had killed us or not.”

Ukrainian War Of Attrition: The 27 Day Of Russian Military Operations

According to open-sourced data examined by Politico, it is estimated that the US has sent Ukraine 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems and 4,600 Javelin anti-tank missiles since January.

The police operation in the Ukraine is at a standstill at the moment except in a few areas along the various fronts. The Russian army slowly, gingerly advances into the cities, cutting off sections controlled by the enemy like a kolbasa, piece by piece.
Civilians fleeing the city of Mariuple have to run the Azov gauntlet with many refugees sharing accounts of being shot at and terrorized. The “nats-bat” fighters aren’t keen on letting their hostages escape.
Azov, by the way, is largely composed of Russian-speaking easterners from the Dniepopetrovsk and Donbas regions. An unusually high percentage of them appear to be former prisoners or career criminals and their use of satanic and Nazi imagery begins to make more sense when you factor this in.
This all, of course, makes perfect sense if you read the previous articl e on the Ukrainian swamp, but jars with any set narrative promoted by one side or the other. Make of this factoid what you will.

After EU leaders regrouped on Friday for the second day of a Brussels summit organized to allow them to discuss strategies or ratcheting up the pain on the Russian economy (which is already facing the most stringent international economic sanctions ever applied to a major world power), President Biden has confirmed that the US and EU have agreed on a new scheme to increase exports of American LNG to the Continent.
For those who aren’t familiar with the mechanics of importing natural gas, the fuel can be tricky to export by ship. Unlike other fossil fuels like crude and coal, natural gas must be cooled into liquid form, packed onto a tanker, then carefully “re-gasified” at special facilities.
On the other hand, the natural gas that flows through pipelines like Nord Stream 2 avoids this cumbersome process entirely.
Unfortunately for the Europeans, the new plan could take years to implement, raising the possibility of further increases in European natural gas prices.
But while the Biden Administration has generally been hostile to the American energy industry, the deal virtually guarantees new markets for American LNG, incentivizing domestic producers to expand capacity – and quickly.

On March 25, at least three Russian missiles hit the city of Lviv. An oil depot located on Plastovaya Street and military facility were seriously damaged by the strikes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
According to the mayor, there were no victims as a result of the strikes. No civilian infrastructure was damaged.
The Russian military is widely using its Kalibr cruise missiles to strike military targets throughout Ukraine. In recent days, as a result of Russian strikes, numerous fuel depots have been destroyed. The AFU troops, including the main grouping deployed in the Donbass region, are at risk of running out of fuel in the nearest future.

Update(9:01ET): Russia on Monday has issued a firm and unyielding response to G-7 ministers who had dismissed as “unacceptable” its plan to only accept ruble payments for Russian gas going to “unfriendly” nations.
Earlier Monday German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said from Berlin that the Kremlin demand for natural gas contracts to be paid in rubles is a “one-sided and clear breach of contracts” – saying the contracts must be honored under prior conditions, according to Bloomberg. “That means that a payment in rubles is not acceptable and we urge the relevant companies not to comply with Putin’s demand,” Habeck said. “Putin’s effort to drive a wedge between us is obvious but you can see that we won’t allow ourselves to be divided and the answer from the G-7 is clear: the contracts will be honored.”
The Kremlin’s quick shooting down of the German economy minister’s comments and the G-7’s stance on the ruble came Monday via a Russian lawmaker to state-run RIA Novosti: “Russian lawmaker Abramov says G7’s refusal to pay in Russian roubles for gas will definitely lead to a halt in supplies.”

On Tuesday, the FT highlighted how Washington’s pledge to wean Europe off of Russian gas by boosting LNG exports simply doesn’t add up.
The US says it aims to add 15 billion cubic meters of LNG to the EU this year, with more in the years to come. It didn’t specify the origins of the gas, noting it would “work with international partners”. By comparison, Russia currently exports 155 billion cubic meters a year of gas to the EU.

The decision was made with the eye of reaching a permanent solution to the conflict in the neighboring country, the spokesman for the Riyadh-led coalition announced. The war in Yemen has been going on since March 2015.
Earlier, the Yemen’s Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) had offered a three-day armistice, which they said could be permanent if the Saudis agreed.

But following a tepid response by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, contemptuously dismissing Russian peace overtures as nothing more than “delaying tactics” meant to “deceive people and deflect attention,” head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky walked back the earlier optimistic remarks, saying “a gradual military de-escalation does not necessarily mean an immediate ceasefire.”
