At least two people have been killed and 18 others wounded after French forces fired shots to disperse angry protesters blocking a French military convoy in western Niger.
The armored vehicles and logistics trucks had crossed the border on Friday after being blocked in Burkina Faso for a week by demonstrations there against French forces’ failure to stop mounting violence by Takfiri militants.
Anger has been rising against the French military presence in Niger, Burkina Faso and other countries in West Africa’s Sahel region.

In het document, dat van 7 januari 2021 dateert, staat van negen chatapps vermeld welke data via gerechtelijke bevelen opvraagbaar is en welke procedures hiervoor zijn vereist. Het gaat om iMessage, Line, Signal, Telegram, Viber, WeChat, WhatsApp en Wickr. In het geval van Signal, Telegram, Threema, Viber, WeChat en Wickr zegt de FBI geen toegang te kunnen krijgen tot de inhoud van chatberichten.

Then at midnight into the early hours of Saturday morning, during the traditionally illiquid Asian session when things normally go splat in the night for cryptos as one or more super levered Asian momentum chasers blow up, Bitcoin suffered a massive liquidation and crashed into a bear market down to the $42k level, tumbling into a bear market. Price has recovered some, now trading around $47k.

A doctor in the UK who was banned from using social media by the General Medical Council for claiming “masks do nothing” has won his case in the High Court.
Dr. Samuel White was slapped with and 18 month ban by the GMC after he posted a video to Instagram and Twitter in June questioning the efficacy of face coverings.
In the video, White said why he could no longer tolerate working in his previous roles because of the “lies” around the NHS and the government’s response to the pandemic, which were “so vast” he could no longer “stomach” them.
